Random frame drops

No matter what fps i set it too it will constantly frop like 9 frames every few seconds
144- every few seconds it drops to 135
139- every few seconds it drops to 130
60- every few seconds it drops to 52
WTF IS GOING ON?

Yeah the same was happening to me I just uninstalled it in the end after trying and failing to fix it, it was just unplayable like that I wish there was a real fix for it..

Yeah I'm about to aswell, but I'll try something different tommorow but otherwise I've found nothing to fix it

Nothing seems to work, lowering graphics, messing with the nvidia control panel settings, 60 fps max, dx9 or dx10, just save your self the time and uninstall if your having the same issue

used 360- 40 bucks, used ps3- 120 bucks. grab a copy of this game off amazon or ebay for like 5 or 10, and enjoy. Its just to old for most windows 10 computers to run now without heavy heavy modding, or extreme good luck, that or find an old ass computer lying around and boot it on that

1. This game shouldn't be running over 60fps. The engine will inevitably bug out and corrupt your save.

2. Make sure you've disabled full screen optimizations, enabled v-sync, and capped frame rate via command or gameprofile.xml value

3. Try the game with the Redux mod and let me know if you still get the weird frame drops. I've tweaked some engine stuff. https://www.moddb.com/mods/far-cry-2-redux

These days, I recommend anyone playing on PC to use the multifixer program found in the Guide section.
