IMI Uzi - Better DMG, better Range, better Reliability, better Iron-Sights.
Ingram Mac-10 - Better Accuracy, better Rate of Fire. more commonly found on Snipers for ammo replenish.
With the Mac-10s higher RoF I would suggest tap-firing for ammo consumption which also helps reduce muzzle rise.
I've dug through the files and the Mac10 is definitely a very quiet gun for some reason. I think it might be an oversigt. If I got the right stats, which I'm pretty sure is under MuzzleStims, the Mac10 has a noise radius of 3(!). Compare that to the uzi of 75. And M1903 sniper rifle of 150.
and lighter. - Is there any way to make that possible?
One of the few things the later games did better.
You can change the category for any weapons, but without a major engine change there's no good way to make the weapons slot agnostic, or allow the slots to accept multiple weapon categories.
As for the Mac 10, maybe this one is the .380 version? Heh
It's an iconic, "warzone" weapon, I guess.

There are also lots of Mac 11/9 versions of the Mac 11 that use 9mm.
While the Uzi would be less damage and fire rate but like laser accurate.
Uzi.
