Even with new weapons, while on missions, I cannot empty two or three mags without jam issuses every single time. Once I start a main mission that has a buddy mission included, I have to visit the armory first thing, to replace my new weapons, and then proceed to the safe house for the buddy mission. Most cases you have to fight through one or two gaurd check points between the armory and the safe house. Every mission I have ever been on if I clear out a guard post that I have to pass twice I have to clear it out twice. I accaept this as part of the mission but kinda frustrating having to kill the same guys 2x you just killed a few minutes before. There are always check points to get past to reach the objective and by this point my weapon is already jammed. Many cases, I cannot complete the buddy part of the mission before I have major jamming issues. You would think you could finish one single mission without jamming problems from a new weapon. When I accept main missions from one of the HQ's, I have to visit the armory at least four times per single mission if not more. I have accepted this as normal and end up spending most of my time going to and from the armory and it adds some fun to the game.
I use the bus as much as possible and I travel on foot every where and do not use roads. I think the time lapse when you use the bus speeds up the weapon decay as well as saving at safe houses during missions. I do not speed up time at the safe house so it's basically a game save and not changing from day to night or vice versa. But still a new weapon is a new weapon and even sleeping over night at a safe house should not cause the weapon to age 100 years.
This is just one of many areas the devs really messed up the realism. New weapons that brake just as fast or faster than old ones, gaurds that respawn at check points less then 5 minutes after you killed them and mobile patrols that go at 200 mph while your identical vehiocle only goes about 30mph. I still like the game and continue to play. I have accepted that anytime I am on a mission 90% of the mission involves getting to the armory numerous times. I look at it as an added challenge. Wish I could add some trains and more tracks.
Thanks for the response. It must be my game and I may just reload the game and start over since its not a big deal. I have played through several times on all the difficulty levels and these last two play throughs at easy and hard levels I have not been able to finish a single mission without weapon jams. I have noticed while saving at safe houses during missions, especially when you speed up big chunks of time that sometimes there is rust on my main weapon after the save. Have noticed after several bus trips it happens as well.
I like when my weapon explodes and I have to take cover. Nothing like trying to find a weapon to grab off the ground or having to steal one from an NPC during the fire fight. It does add extra action to the mission. I wish there was a better selection of the weapons you could carry. I would like to have the silent shotgun and a silent pistol with the silent MP5, along with the AS50 and the Dart gun. Like Far Cry 3 wish you could modify your wepons with silencers and larger mags. Also be nice to have the Takedown move like Far Cry 3. I use the big blade as much as possible when I get a chance.
