Altough this update brings new replayability for those who already beated the previous state of the game it somehow feels like it no longer has continuity and structure, even though the levels look better (IF you ignore the visual bugs that came along with it) it just feels like any other random backrooms game. The game had those "simple" designs that I believe carried the sould of the game itself as if it was the signture of the game itself; "backroomy enough but just style based", you know.
This backrooms game for me always felt like "the one who reseembles it the least but It's somehow the most fun to play" now it just feels like any other backrooms game who does not fully resembles it neither has a unique soul like this one did (Even if the devs saw the previous state of the game as some sort of beta the same happened to Slender game back in the day)
I would personally like seeing added a legacy beta version so we can play the original game once more, or maybe these new leves to be played as a "harder" version once you beat the game once, honestly I don't like the unnecesary roaming around of these new levels, they could have just added new levels instead of reworking the entire game.
Edit: Forgot to say that the upgrade to the inventory system was also magnificant (Even if it is a really simple thing it was really needed)
I really like the new additions to the levels, but there are a few parts here and there that have flawed design. The new run for your life for example, You dont get anxiety pills and these dudes that run at the doors increase it super quicklly, The smiler also catches up to you super fast if you stop too many times, and sometimes it kills you inevitably. The platforming design is super bad, the jump button doesnt work half the times and i dont like how they added platforming in Run for your life, and one that doesnt work for that matter. Then there are some bugs at the parking where if you die and accidentally switch floors while in spirit form you cant jump fall or climb ladders so you just get soft locked.
I also dont like how you lose all your almond water anxiety pills and moth jelly at the start of each level, and how most of the documents for each monster are removed from the game.
