The checkpoint though. Icing on the cake.
Speedrun strats gonna change for the better. Please continue this franchise.
Learn, improve, have a backbone to stand behind your own game instead of dumbing it down to chase casual market and do better.
Only been awake for half an hour and already had to read this absolute joke. Why do I even open up the Steam forums...
This game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mess and they alienated everybody who supported this game. Not to mention games still has several bugs and issue that weren't adressed.
Are you an idiot or just a child? Soleil is a company. They want and need as many people as possible to buy and play this game. Just because a handful of people like the difficulty the way it is doesnt matter when the vast majority of potential customers gets turned off for it. Making games just for "fans" when that number is as low as it is, doesnt pay rent for the offices nor for salaries.
Stereotypical russian we have here.
Soleil is a clueless company, this recent patch proves it, this isn't the way you get more engagement for your game. No wonder Itagaki left these idiots.
Baseless. Who are these vast majority of potential customers? The vast majority of potential customers are people like me who are interested in more oldschool and challenging games, not the casual masses that play braindead garbage games like Baldur's Gate 3.
Why nerf the Japanese Hardmode difficulty? They added a new braindead easy mode for the casuals and could just nerf standard difficulty, why touch Japanese Hardmode? Terrible business decision, but very fitting for a garbage developer like Soleil.
Both FromSoftware and Team Ninja made games for fans even when the sales numbers were low and now they dominate the oldschool and challenging game market. As for Soleil, perhaps it is better if they can't pay the rent or salaries of their workforce. The gaming industry is not a charity, garbage developers deserve to go bankrupt and exit the industry.
Nope, it's definitely not. Just because some people are butthurt that the dev is changing the game to open it up to more People and make gameplay better doesn't mean that.
And no, the reception and refund amounts to the game show that most people disklike the difficulty aspect to the game. The dev is now working on rebalancing and improving the game and making combat more appealing. Which is a good thing.
And again, no. Team Ninja refined their games and improved the combat. That's different from changing an broken combat system that Wanted:Dead has. No one dislikes hard games. But Wanted:Dead didn't make the hard difficulty appealing by having a broken combat system and bad game design in that aspect. Now they are changing it.
