However, you need to do some legwork to get the game to run since it expects a CD key on W10/11.

It's like they gave up half way through development and just said screw it

They managed to take everything great about Ghost Recon 1 and remove it from this game.
It feels like they ported a PS2 shooter to PC. It's not Ghost Recon 1 and its not Rainbow Six 1. It's the illegitimate bastard child no one asked for.

No team strategy whatsoever. Team mates are just chickens running around getting killed. Cant tell them where to go like in Ghost Recon. They get killed almost every time

The story is the same commie garbage propaganda just like all other Tom Clancy games and novels. At least with GR1 and RS1 the games are actually good.

Even at its best the game is underwhelming and boring. The action is not fun and feels like a chore to make it through each mission.

I see why it went under everyones radar years ago.

You're here because you love Ghost Recon 1 and Rainbow Six 1. You will be dissapointed with this. If you are curious enough to buy it just to see then go ahead. But maybe saving your ten bucks is a better idea.

It's a shame because I wanted to like it. Still play GR1 and RS1 often. Those are classics that stand the test of time. This game is the opposite of what makes those games all time greats.

This is everything I love about the original Ghost Recon and its unforgiving close range encounters, but with flashbang grenades thrown into the mix. The enemy AI is better, but the team AI is worse. Your teammates are walking flashbang dispensers and not good for much else.

A swarm of allied units that can actually fight will also drop in halfway through the level for all out chaos.

Its about the length of one of Ghost Recons expansions.

You will also need to download cracked DRM avoiding software to play, as this port does not work without the original game disk. I found a comment in the steam reviews with the needed port, simply replacing the application file.

It's a treat when you hear John Clark's voice and think back to the original R6.

Also playing with cheats is a must, since the A.I. has god tier aim

Enemy stunlock when getting shot is annoying, but if you have played every Rainbow Six game and really want to play a similar game, this game is worth it. Super fun even though you can beat the whole game in an hour or two. Don't buy the game if you don't want to have to deal with the error code 85 though the fix is super straight forward.

Very fun and heavily underrated Tom Clancy, its a Rainbow Six with a movie name on top.

The campaign itself isn't too long, there are only 11 missions and like 5 "custom" maps that you can play outside of the main campaign.

The tactics aspect is not as complex as Rainbow Six 3. Think about it like a simplified Rainbow Six 3. still very fun and with the difficulty set to HARD it can be very challenging.

Honestly its the forgotten Tom Clancy game... If you are a fan of the early Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon you will love the game. On a side note, you do have to download and apply a no-cd cracked exe and rename or delete dghelp.dll for the game to run... Unlike the original R6 it doesn't require Dgvoodoo to run native 1080p so thats a plus.
