How do you fix the ship?

It's the first day, and my two missions are fix the pipe, and gather 15 algae. They're easy enough to find. But the missus was driving and smashed the ship. How do I repair the ship? Folks speak of a crafting station and I believe I've seen it. But my guy just says it's discontinued or some such.

if you explore the underwater world, you can find repair- / charging stations and if you cant use the crafting station, than on the charging stations is random items that are called "repair kits" you can collect them and use it when your on board of the moon, hope that works for you
