Loot boxes, why'd it have to be loot boxes....

So they are seriously going to through with Gacha style loot boxes for appearance items and stuff? I was really enjoying the game up till I got interested in a skin for a character and saw what exactly a BOON was. So I guess this fits more in the category of feedback if nothing else. I purchased the battle pass (which was bad enough) to get the OTHER female character. After seeing skins for the characters locked behind random loot boxes/boons I am actually done unless this changers. Its nothing like the previous games in that you could color the characters and choose heads and hair and such (well except the 1st one I recall). As for not, you got me for the price of a battle pass, i'm out, good luck and hopefully you as a company change whats in or how the Gacha loot box boons works. I mean renaming something a boon to keep from calling it a lock box or a Gacha box doesn't mean its NOT.

I would buy Season Pass but it is pitiful what you get in it. 10 gems? lol
I would buy a cosmetic or two because I enjoy the game but I refuse to take part in stupid gacha gambling.

And to answer why lootboxes - because they work. For each person refusing to engage with the system, there are 3 people buying tons of them.

I would buy a cosmetic or two because I enjoy the game but I refuse to take part in stupid gacha gambling.

And to answer why lootboxes - because they work. For each person refusing to engage with the system, there are 3 people buying tons of them.

They changed from beta 3 to open beta, again the new hero classes used to be gacha but is now direct purchase. And included the new heroes in battlepass.

They changed auto loot from a paid feature to be part of the free battlepass now.

They heard people complained about AH slots so they give up to 9 for free now and gives 12 in the battle pass.

You are basically just outing yourselfs as a hypocrite for saying "if it was better i would do it" but multiple things has been changed to make it better, and you still havent done it, talk is cheap.

oh, they got alot of feedback during the alpha, they chose to ignore it.
they advertised it as a game with no p2w and changed to full blown gacha during alphas.
they dont give a ...... about your feedback.

The p2w doesnt seem big so far tbh. I dont know if its accurate but heard theres a damage cap and you reach cap without shop, shop will just accelerate progress. Minmaxing will still be gear grind. That aside is there even anything you wish to compete on? They have to make some cash somehow, skin lootboxes is imo the best option above all the rest.

I just hate spending my money on RANDOM stuff and that is it. This could be a godlike game and I still wouldn't buy lootboxes.

And they won't change the entire cosmetic/pet system because it is clearly the core of their monetization plan since there is almost nothing else to buy.

I won't but it was you who said I should buy stuff because they changed one thing about their monetization. So I explained my position and how it doesn't make sense for me.

Sorry, didn't mean for this to devolve into arguments. I just wanted to state why I won't be playing anymore with my thoughts on it and hopefully the devs might see it or it might just go away. Either way I said my piece and sorry if it started arguments.

if they want to keep the gacha-ish rule for the cosmetics, i hope at least they'd consider giving options to freely dismantle unwanted cosmetics from players' purchase into a special material that could be accumulated and exchanged directly into the cosmetics you want.

wish there's some options for hairstyles, face and skintone varieties. give a few variations of these vanity to players for free, then offer the rest only through mtx purchase. that'd be somewhat sensible.
