No idea why you thought we were "past that in 2022" it's literally a core ARPG mechanic that most major online ARPGs engage in?
It's what brings people back and keeps the experience fresh. There's a reason there's a correlation between declining playerbases and current duration of season (longer season goes = less players) and why playerbases tend to increase significantly with each new season.
This is true for D2r, D3 & POE.
You're never forced into season mechanics either there's always a button to opt out.
thats what people are saying, there is LITERALLY a server that never resets.
yeah? if the problem is that the person doesnt want to relevel then that should be a bonus as you arent behind some feature that is super important that you need to adjust your build for.
congrats you are explaining why you want to play on a seasonal server, and why they exist.
I dont know why some people only plays league of legends to play vs bots when its a pvp game, but if someone asked "hey i really liked the characters and idea but i dont like pvp can i play vs bots that mimic players but are worse" the answer would be bots.
i don't mind making new characters for new seasons in games like this, as long as my characters' gears & cosmetics collection is still in the storage.
