There are a ton of build options. And the more options you make, the harder it is to balance.
Make whatever build you want, or stick with the meta builds. It's totally up to you.
There are tons of build options, but obviously people are going to gravitate towards something that is easy.
2) Currently we have limited ammount of builds viable since many heroes and alternative heroic versions are not released. For example, i want to make Sentry build, but there is no such hero with Sentry bonuses, so my build will be weak. As for MOTO class, he has only 2 minions to choose from - golems and spiders, both of which similar in power.
3) Some items that could make weak builds strong are yet to be crafted, since you need very specific corrosion on very specific item. For example, there is corrosion that turns ALL your crit and crit dmg into minion crit/dmg, which can double your dps.
4) Game is not even 2 weeks old, too early to talk about meta. Players who created super strong builds will try to hide and use those to farm late-game, instead of revealing build to everyone, creating unnecessary competition.
