Not an issue with an "external" account, in T2 you just tie it to your email. I'd be fine with that.
But won't let them touch my Google/Apple/whatever, no.
You have a steam, has had data breeches multiple times, i guess you have a phone? guess what. Google? youtube? facebook. Your information has already been sold to hell and back and anyone on the internet who says otherwise are delusional.
game also has its own client outside of steam which requires you to sign up so its the same for steam your just connecting to that
