That's unfortunate to hear about they have to fix this skill cycling, so this meaning removing the discard bug.

It's great when you gets some not-so-good skill and it needed to get rid of... now it's gone, what a shame.

You want to cheese stuff.. In gacha... in modern gacha in 2023. it is not gfl guys, sorry.
I have never heard of cycling skills in a video game being considered cheese. Its a basic function in 99.9% of video games.

PM are a bunch of self absorbed autists that think defying standards makes them trendy though.
dude it's a video game chill and go touch grass

Also, y'all literally can't read.

They are fixing a bug where if you click/create a defense skill, but DON'T USE IT, and then next turn you cancel it, the skill doesn't come back. Which was very clearly a bug and not intentional. A skill should only be getting recycled/discarded if you actually use the defense.

You can still create and USE a defense in order to get rid of a bad bottom skill. So yes, you can still recycle bad bottom row skills using defense.

the reason people are annoyed is because the bug is central to a lot of high-level play, being able to burn two skills in one turn is really useful for cycling characters like W-Don back to their S3 much quicker, and significantly reduces the downside posed by having a weak S1 since you only need to use it if the character gets two copies at once.
For a lot of characters using defence skills to cycle faster lets them run significantly smoother, so it's no surprise a lot of people would rather it stayed as it is

Yeah, you can also just use the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ attack skill and it removes it as well. People know how to read, you apparently don't because you addressed nothing.

Why would people want to generate, and use, a defense skill to get a new attack when they could just use a "bad" attack skill and get a new attack?

i hope they implement a ''discard'' mechanic like this bug and a way to choose wich skill you want to use for EGO, sometimes i want to use EGO and save a skill for use on the next turn, like use don telepole and rip space next turn.

this bug make the game feels better and less rng lucky based.

The bug fix feels so bad just because RR is so dependent on pumping out damage fast. The 95% heads chance means the only way to make a fight more difficult is to make the enemy a sponge, which frankly sucks, and cycling alleviated that. Hopefully they give S1 more utility, like maybe it can focus on status like count or you can somehow use it twice if you have it in both your slots. Maybe add more turns for abno battles so you can use S1 to activate passives better. Here's an idea: make clashes give higher damage bonuses the fewer coins your skill has. This fixes S1 and EGO at once. Point is, S1 accomplishes so little that you pretty much always avoid them, whereas having a reason to use them is more fun than constantly discarding them. All my ideas could be garbage but I think there's a lot to gain from examining how S1s are implemented.
