I've been hearing about people using cheat engine to speed up their mirror dungeon runs
Has the devs put out a response regarding this yet? i'd like to know if they're going to punish it or not, personally i don't really care since it doesn't give them an innate advantage over anyone else, it just makes their runs faster so they collect the rewards earlier.

Its a grey territory to be honest. Realistically this should be handled server side and not possible to speed up on the client side. I doubt they will ban people for doing that, but there will be a hotfix if thats true.

It's probably just done using speed hacks. Which would leave the gray area though, since it requires CE to hook in and inject the speedhack.

Its actually interesting, because game enforces vsync and its shouldn't be possible to hook it like that with unity engine. I guess people were able to do it last week during 60 fps cap?

Whatever they should ban for that or not its up to them, that's not the hill I'm going to die on, lol.

They 100% should get a ban. Permanent? No way. But suspend them for a few days or a week or something.

The real problem is that people are actually speedhacking in this game in its current form where there's no reason to do so at all. What are they doing, speedhacking mirror dungeon runs? That's just so unnecessary. Ban them for a week and let them back in, that way they pay for speedhacking by being right where they would be if they didn't hack.

Just don't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ speedhack lol

Gacha game/f2p gamers are something else

mirror dungeon runs take around 30 minutes each, if someone has over 100 modules, you cant reasonably expect them to use them all in a reasonable timeframe

The intention is understandable, Mirror Dungeons can be quite a drag. But I doubt they will get far, maybe some of the comming hotfixes will patch this out.

Wow, you're like saying that all of us who are playing this game have ALL the free time in the world!

Speedrun good.
Speedhack bad.

Would be a bad idea to do it now as well. With the new event coming out that asks that you spend modules, he's wasting a lot of modules that would be spent towards getting 20 pulls and a guaranteed 3 000.

that'd be extremely impractical, running every individual copy of the game on a server streaming to devices would require some truly monstrous specs, for no real reason. speed hacks would probably just be forcing the client to run abnormally fast.
Not my thing, but I don't see why people are so up-in-arms about it; it's not like they're cheating themselves extra currency.

Since in this game it wouldn't give any advantage besides saving time, maybe they should just make it so it doesn't take 5 hours a day to do the 7x daily dungeons

always strikes me as odd when people ask devs to let them play less. You dont need to spend 5 hours every day grinding mirror without weekly bonus, thats your choice. Some people like having longer play sessions and if you dont then you can simply stop, turn the screen off, go outside and take a break. nobody forcing you to grind and i for one enjoy how "long" (if you can call ~30 min clears long) a mirror dungeon takes while messing around with different comps.

as for the speedhack thing i dont really see the big issue its not cheating extra res. (and no fck off with the "people do it faster so they get more resources faster then avg player reeee) if people wanna do it then go for it everyone here has access to it considering this is steam forums and steam is a pc forum. not like it affects me or my account in anyway

Its not like they'll remove client, there just should be some sort of anti cheat software involved that makes checks server side (and detects/prevents injections if someone for example wants to bypass original unity files). I assume they already doing something like that. Or they should starting.
