Kameo Fighters will ruin this game

Just imagine seeing your favorite MK character in the new Mortal Kombat game only to realize they aren't actually playable but an NPC assist character that helps you for 2 seconds and leaves for a 10 second cool down. How is NRS going to have us pay for a Kombat pack for some damn assist characters that aren't even playable? Lmao so many players are going to be upset when they see a their favorite character in the franchise only to be listed as a Kameo

There are rumours/leaks implying that Kameos are playable but have a limited movelist (think on the level of NPC characters in story that aren't playable in previous MK games). But take that with a grain of salt

This is still bad though. Essentially they will be teasing the players with characters that could've been playable with a full move set list but aren't. It will be really disappointing seeing Smoke in the game with only a smoke bomb assist move, a couple kicks, punches and nothing more

Well, apparently Johnny Cage is on the main roster and also a Kameo fighter so it doesn't rule them out entirely. In fact, it allows for more experimental additions (i.e. first as a Kameo fighter to test the waters and later as a DLC fighter). But again, this is just speculation

This game has no chance against SF6 and Tekken 8 with them doing still non MK characters. Don't even worry about it. Netherrrealms probably already started working on MK2 at this point. RIP MK.

Name one fighting game where cameo characters haven't ruined what the game was built on by either being too OP, or breaking the whole balance by bringing their gimmick from their game.

Maybe NRS is clever for just name dropping the feature without any immediate explanation on how it works. It's certainly generated a lot of discussion around the game

And yes your favorite pesronage in the cameo roster will only generate rage among fans. it looks like the nrs is digging its own grave :)

No I dont think it will work like that.
All playable characters will also be Kameos, hence why they showed Scorpion and Sub fighting together.
So Kameo does not disconfirm a character.
They probaly wanted to recreated a tag team mode like in MK9 but ended up with that Kameo system for some reason.

yes the best way out is to make playable characters as supporting characters (or cameos as they say) but if they are ONLY supporting characters then it's a disaster, fans will eat the nrs
