Will there be a Mortal kombat kollection on steam?
Anyone know if they plan on making a Mortal Kombat Kollection where they will have all of the mortal kombat games that was ever made by NRS from mortal kombat 1-8 all in one game? kind of like how there is a street fighter anniversary game.

There is Samurai Shodown Collection too, with the 5 first games. But I hardly see MK Collection. I don't know why they removed MK9 from the store, I would buy it if it were there, it's my favourite in the 2nd era, after all it has the best roster: the classic.
I suggest you just use RetroArch (you can download it right here on Steam), if you want I can teach you how to use it, then you can play all MK games from 1 to 7 like I am right now. (including the mod Ultimate MK Deception, very good)

Ask NRS not some randoms on Steam forums

edit: ask Ed Boon on Twitter he frequently does Q&As

NRS has only made 3 Mortal Kombat games: Mortal Kombat (2011), Mortal Kombat X and Mortal Kombat 11. Mortal Kombat 1 is their 4th mainline MK game.

The other games you're referring to were made by Midway which is now defunct. I'm sure WB still has the rights to those.

Also, technically there is no Mortal Kombat 8, kinda. "Mortal Kombat 8" is Mortal Kombat Vs DC Universe. Given Mortal Kombat (2011) AKA MK9 starts after the end of Armageddon (MK7), this implies that MK Vs DCU isn't canon.

There is an arcade classics collection from the Midway era available on GOG. I'm not sure if it's a dosbox port or an arcade port, though.

I bought every MK game there is on GOG. All of them are DOS ports, not arcade ports.

There will probably be Steam ports of the older games eventually, but nothing has been announced or hinted at in any way

Emulation is great for the 3D era games (those unavailable on PC).

There was already a Mortal Kombat Kollection on Steam. It features the original trilogy and was removed from the store because of incompatibility concerns due to it using Games for Windows Live DRM. (But it can be fixed with a community patch.) I believe Kollection Steam keys still float around online if you're interested.

As for Mortal Kombat 4-8, yeah, we're all outta luck. We really do need a new Kollection. Game compilations are really popular these days and it'd definitely make money.

And since MK9 was removed from Steam I guess it'd have that too.
