I suggest you just use RetroArch (you can download it right here on Steam), if you want I can teach you how to use it, then you can play all MK games from 1 to 7 like I am right now. (including the mod Ultimate MK Deception, very good)

The other games you're referring to were made by Midway which is now defunct. I'm sure WB still has the rights to those.
Also, technically there is no Mortal Kombat 8, kinda. "Mortal Kombat 8" is Mortal Kombat Vs DC Universe. Given Mortal Kombat (2011) AKA MK9 starts after the end of Armageddon (MK7), this implies that MK Vs DCU isn't canon.
I bought every MK game there is on GOG. All of them are DOS ports, not arcade ports.
As for Mortal Kombat 4-8, yeah, we're all outta luck. We really do need a new Kollection. Game compilations are really popular these days and it'd definitely make money.
And since MK9 was removed from Steam I guess it'd have that too.
