Indeed, and if you actually do change it in some way that they use a different weapon from their class showing (for instance having Agnea use a spear in her normal clothes) it just....shows no weapon animation.
It'd be possible to make a mod to fix this, though it'd be a lot of work.
In the field and cutscenes, travelers will use their base outfit.
In battle and in the menu they will use their subjob outfit.
God forbid they actually put some work into their games, instead of just releasing a Soundtrack for $80
Show me where the soundtrack costs $80.
Costs 5000 yen (about $38 right now) and is 6 CDs, hardly a huge price comparitively. At least if you're going to make stuff up, don't do it when it's easily verifyable how much you're making it up.
