I tried killing both his guards, but they apparently get replaced by 2 more later. Ridiculous. :(
I think the trick is just to aim for Breaking. running out of SP is annoying. i wish it just naturally replenishes during a fight..like in little ticks or something. drinking potions is such a waste of a turn tbh. since both my characters only had like 250 something max HP, every 1-2 hits puts them to below 100 HP already..ugh
and the shield recharge rate of the enemy is just straight up cheating..
though emerald's random hit second skill was very useful in getting rid of the enemies' shields.. but constantly making him drink SP potions is a pain in the ass
I'm not sure if that's even possible, but for it to be possible you would have to have completely ignored every single possible explorable path and chest. You don't really need to grind in this game, but you absolutely need to explore and involve yourself in fights. Other than that, you just use the mechanics you are taught effectively, and he goes down simply.
Exploring to get chests means you'll have some fights too and so earn some exp at the same time.
