How do you progress beyond zone 3 to rescue your dad?

So, I've unlocked and completed both of the zone 3 areas (ice cave and fire area I think) I beat the king in one zone and another boss in the other. When I got back I was told that killing the king isn't enough, you have to kill the corruption or something behind him. How do you unlock that? I've built at least one of each building in the town also.

yes, duck and frog, won runs with the duck but not the the frog.

Not sure how to unlock the last 2

The hedgehog.. you have to beat hear into submission 3 times. X.x antisocial gall X}

Just keep on, keeping on. They tend to be adjacent other quests & challenge runs. it's not something that you should focus solely on.

ok, beat her twice, have not seen her recently though, does she show up for any character or only for pocket?

I just had this issue myself - go through a full run and finalize in magma and you'll get her. As far as the other character, there are machine parts that you have to carry out. they take anywhere between 2-4 spaces in your inventory when they drop on runs.

The last one is the 3 parts you collect.

Then you're prompted to build a 'building' in town after the first run with that character.

Seriously though, on the robit character don't skip the first steps missions, It's kinda required to know wtf you're doing with it.

so got the hedgehog and am getting pieces of the robot, do you need all the characters before you can progress the quest to get your dad, or is that separate?

I went through and it doesn't really do a good job teaching the character. That "heat switch" one gave me a headache to figure out what the heck it was talking about. A small animation showing the spark going in circles would have helped.

That said, I've tried the robot a couple times and can't seem to make it very far. I'll have to go watch some youtube video because the character just feels like such a big restriction. He still only has 3 energy but just unloads it all with one click. It just feels bad to play him.
