Sam's Bird-script letter unique item missing

At some point before sam arrived, the letter I found went missing from my inventory. Haven't seen a new one appear in the dungeon since, so I'm assuming I'll have to cheat a new one in.

Pretty sure it just got accidentally sold or handed to another npc or something when I wasn't paying much attention but be aware that's a thing that can happen I guess

same here. trying to figure out either a cheat engine solution or just making a mod that drops it

actually nvm im overcomplicating things it seems you can just turn debug mode on and spawn it ? https://backpack-hero.com/mods/How_to_Create_Mods/Getting_Started/

Yep so here's how you fix it:
Main menu, click "mods" and turn on debug mode
During a story mode run, hit CTRL+S.
Type "Mysterious Letter" into the search box, and click the item.
Get the letter back to the village (i just died to do this, you can save the one item)
And then you should be good to give him the letter :)

Sorry, yeah it's not super hard to fix since the devs were kind enough to leave debug easily accessible. Thanks for outlining how to do it I probably should have explained this myself for anyone else with the same problem.

The post was mostly to make the issue more visible so it can be patched

i should of probably said that here i found it like a day after i had the bug
