lowering the resolution to 1280x720 helps with the blurriness.

Crazy this is a 1.0. Rushed out?

I'm playing on 4k and have no issues with display. Your resolution setting is almost definitely not the same as (or a factor of) your desktop resolution, or your video card is trying to apply anti-aliasing. Check your video card settings if you're confident your game settings are correct.

Same thing here, I get a blurry image when choosing a 4k internal resolution in the game. Looks like their upscaler is bilinear or something of the same nature. 720p (then upscaled by the display itself, as opposed to the game) gives much better results, but that shouldn't be... Hopefully they improve on that in a future patch, so that we can get nice chunky crisp pixel art in 4k, and not a blurry mess.

I have no info I can provide to help solve this issue, but I also suffer from the blurriness. Frustrating but not enough to stop me from playing...

Would love for them to figure out what's causing this. I have everything set in my GPU settings to allow applications to take control, nothing is set to override default behavior and I don't have any manual GPU settings enabled. 2k monitor here with a 3070.

Actually, now that I think about it... maybe it's a widescreen issue? My native resolution is 2560x1440. If anyone else has this blurriness, please post your native resolution so we can compare. The more data we provide the easier it'll be to fix!

having the same problem - out of curiosity, do you know for sure if the game is actually changing resolution for you? I suspect that's my issue - steam notifications are like 4x bigger than they should be when the game is running, so I think my blurry text is because the game isn't actually running in 2k, even though I have it set that way.

ok, I was able to fix it, at least for my situation. I was right in that the game was running in 720 or something, even though I had 1440 selected. I had to set it back to 720, change to windowed mode, set it back to 1440 again, and then manually drag the window to fit my screen. changing to borderless or fullscreen would just crush the resolution again. kinda goofy but it at least looks much better.

Interesting, I'll give that a go too, thanks! But yeah, they should definitely fix how they upscale their content to fit higher resolutions... It's not to the point that it hinders the gameplay, but it sure could look much better!

This worked great for me, thanks! I was even able to switch back to borderless after fixing the resolution in windowed mode, too. A bit of a weird workaround but it solved the issue for me entirely so thank you!

I found this issue too and found a solution.

When you are in full screen and fuzzy, confirm the resolution is set to what you want in options. Then use alt+enter twice.

This will take the game out of and back into full screen, and reload the resolution properly.

This worked for me but it's so busted you have to do this. Thanks for posting! :steamhappy:
