How Many Items?

I'm trying to do all the achievements for the game, and I have finished the game (story mode) and have all the achievements except for 2; discover 400 items, and discover 700 items.
Did they accidentally add a 0 to those achievements? Does the game even have 700 items? I don't see how the game could have that many items to discover if I've beaten the game and all achievements without even discovering half of them...

There are currently 878 items in the game, you can see how many you've discovered in the Story Mode main menu. Those two achievements appear to be broken, as even if you've discovered all 878, you don't receive either of them.

Ok, good to know, if I have basically done all the research in story mode, would it be safe to say I've pretty well discovered most of the 878 items in the dungeon or are there items specific to quick play?

I don't believe there are any items that are limited to Quick Play. If you've done like 30 runs in Story Mode you've probably found 700+ items though.
