Even before that price increase, it was very expensive at $15 I think - it shows the price in CHF, not dollars for me, so It is a rough estimate.
Yeah it was $15.99 in USD before the increase, and on sale was $13.59 (looking at sales history websites). Now when it goes on sale 20% off will be $15.99 lol I probably won't buy. On Kickstarter, it was $12. So the price has gone up twice now.
Yeah if they're gonna ask $20 for a game, they should have more appealing graphics. The numbers and text is so godawful ugly and hard to read, nevermind everything else. Ugh.
Backpack Battles is much better. I wish they'd make a campaign mode like this game.
Except it's obviously no longer available on Kickstarter, lol. If I could get the game for $12 I probably would.
Going forward all the sales will likely be $15.99 USD, 20% off, the same price it used to be WITHOUT a sale. Basically a scam to get people to buy it, so I won't.
Do you have *any* idea how long it takes to make a game like that? A very, very long time. It can take years. Yes, even a small game like this.
Devs work full time on it for a long time. They deserve to get paid for their work.
Early access games never stay the same price on the full release. So not sure what people expected really, it's not a new concept.
I will mention that I am impressed at the amount of content added between Early Access and 1.0 full release. While others will decry the pixel graphics, the actual value is in the gameplay and replayability. I can see this game providing many, may hours of fun (and frustration!).
As for the graphics, apart from the fact that it is above all a question of taste, it missed what makes the essence of this game, namely its well-oiled game mechanics which are rich in possibilities.
Not really much depth deserve discussion
