I am surprised how many bugs are still around. The base idea for the game is great, but I feel like the best designs are watered down a bit now with second and third best designs. It adds some variety but less clever backpack ordering now.
I tried playing another game after this one on the carvings hero and it also felt bugged or confusing, again not sure which. When I tried to place carvings next to Oak Stump it did not let me. I read oak stump and the other carvings carefully, and check the help files but I don't understand what the rule is, or if it is a rule or bug.
Yeah, the issue is they keep changing up or making new system, so that means new bugs. And youre right, I think older concepts are now watered down bc of item bloat, and less direct synergy.
Also I just tested it, and this seems to be new this newest update (are you on playtest realm by chance?)
Totes carvings are NOT placing correctly at all .... Like to an almost unplayable degree.
The Tote bug seems to be from the bag not realizing the spaces where are a carving was discarded is not empty. pressing the toss button usually fixes it for a time.
When I put spicy ginger from the set aside area to inside a pouch, it would trigger and knock half my items out of place.
When I opened and closed a pouch that contained spicy ginger it would trigger and knock half my items out of place.
Another bag bug:
At some point the top left item in my bag turned invisible. Displaying only the tiny checkboard to show the square was occupied, but no item in the square. I could still drag the item out.
Another annoying Bug:
When I was playing the special event memory game where you pick 2 cards and if they match you can keep the item:
Right clicking on an item to inspect it and see the name would often give you info on the item behind it in your inventory bag, instead of the item on the card.

The game thinks I have no mana, but the fight just started and I have lots of mana.
I click metallic wand, it shows the yellow dotted line around the 10 connected mana. Then it pops up the message "not enough connected mana".
There is no need to be so dramatic, "Yes, I would say unplayable." yeah sure man.
To my knowledge, while this doesn't work correctly, the effect where other items cannot find the Ghostly item still work as intended. For example, say you put a gemstone next to a Sword turned Ghostly by the glove, then it won't add damage to it.
It is very useful if you have a Pacifist Ring because otherwise it would break immediately as you're using the weapon.
The glove itself is also good to keep as armor because it isn't considered an armor piece strangely, so it adds Block without disrupting Berrserker Rings, Splints and Hatchets.
Simply Gnome said Tote was unplayable, and I agreed with him. At least read the words if you are going to call people wrong.
Why the heck is Tote being mentioned here? She works fine for me.
Have you played recently? Also the OP outlined the complaints, and a developer even confirmed the bug.
About half her backpack gets marks as "nonplayable space", as it doesnt realize or recognize youve tossed or cleared your backpack. Literally you can't place items in most of your slots, when this bug occurs.
Just confirmed its still happening (on test branch anyhow). It does indeed make the character almost unplayable, as you can no longer place stuff in your backpack.
Hey OP; looks like both ghostly and Tote were fixed in the test branch update that just happened.
