Final release of Super Asqr!

Hello All,

Hope all are well and safe?

At the end of the summer, we released Super Asqr as an early access title with our intention to grow it with new game modes and possible local/online multiplayer. For this, we wanted to get your reaction which would motivate our plans. After months of observation, we sadly realized that the interest was not as much as we hoped for which made us think again of our plans which led us to today.

With the early access, we had already released the game with 2 full game modes so it was already complete on it's current form. Today with making the same release as the final, we think the game is a really great little entertainment valuefor it's price and should live in this form from now on.

We once again would like to thank everybody for their support and hope to get back to you with more excitign new projects! ːsteamhappyː

The initial release of Super Asqr

Hello Everybody,

Hope you are all well and we are happy to share the news with you where today we released Super Asqr as an early access title! ːsteamhappyː

Our original plan didn't include an early access release but after a while, it made more sense as this is a game which we always envisioned as an evolving product with new modes and features overtime. Considering this, we decided to release the game as soon as we have enough content and feature mature enough which brings us to today's release.

With this initial release, we tried to focus on an enjoyable Single Player experience with available 2 Game Modes. Let's give some more information on what those modes are :

Mazes

Being the main game mode, your target is to navigate your square into the exit point through the maze shaped levels. In those mazes, you face a lot of enemy and obstacles you need to avoid and you also have a time constraint that you need to follow. It contains a total of 100 hand crafted levels which should keep you busy for quite some time. ːsteamthumbsupː

Squad

This mode uses a roguelite game concept where you are controlling a group of square units, aka your squad, and defend yourself into upcoming enemies on each level wave by wave. With the ability to include and upgrade your squad units with different abilites, it's up to you how to shape your squad and get against the enemies. This mode currently contains 20 hand crafted levels.

What's Next

Though we don't want to commit ourselves into any of the below at this state, let's spill out all the ideas that we have on our mind currently :

- Mazes Multiplayer (Online) : In this mode, we want to enhance your current single player experience in Mazes mode. When starting a level, you'll be matched with other players around the globe and race who'll finish the level first to gain extra points and stars to step up in the leaderboards.
- Mazes Level Rush (Online) : This will be a special Mazes variant where you'll compete with other players to finish a series of choosen (or new?) Mazes levels as soon as possible which will again earn you extra points and stars to step up in the leaderboards.
- Squad Multiplayer (Local/Online) : This will enhance the Squad game mode by including extra players so you can enjoy a cooperative experience with your friends.
- Race Game Mode : This is a new mulitplayer game mode where you'll race against other opponents in a race track designed like a maze. You'll need to eliminate all other racers by leaving them out of the screen in a race session. Apart using your navigation skills, you'll also have the opportunity to pickup power ups like rockets/bombs which can be used against other opponets.

Conclusion

If you made this far, we would like to thank you once again for your extra interest and we'll be looking forward to have all the reaction/feedback from the players to progress on the game. Demo update to showcase new features!

Hello There,

Hope you all are well and having a great summer! ːsteamhappyː

On our side, we are hard at work to finish the game to release very soon and while doing that, decided that we should update the demo to show more of the features of the game. In this new demo release, we have updated 2 of the available game modes to reflect their final form which contains these features :

Levels

Levels now contain time limits. While this adds another level of difficulty to the player, it has another purpose as well. In Levels, now you can speed up your square by holding Right Trigger/Shift when you move. This can be especially helpfull when you need to run away from an enemy block at cases and is also needed on some levels in order to complete. Ofcourse, there is a catch ːsteammockingː as when you move fast, your time decreases more than usual so beware while speeding.

Squad

Squad mode now starts with a ready made squad for you to demonstrate the new squad units from the beginning. The demo is also time limited and you'll encounter some new enemy types which will be available in the final game.

Other than these, we now properly support multilanguage as well.
