Alice: Madness Returns

Alice: Madness Returns

American McGee's Alice isn't on Steam. Let's try to get it onto GOG.com.
I want to play American McGee's Alice. I've just purchased Alice: Madness Returns, but, to my surprise, was not able to find the original American McGee's Alice anywhere as a digital download. I'm sure a lot of you who got the second Alice game as part of the recent Steam Halloween sale are in the same boat as I. Well, this is not a hopeless matter. I don't know if you guys have heard of GOG.com, but they offer fantastic deals on older games. They don't currently have American McGee's Alice for download, but they do have a request system. It's based on votes. Currently, Alice has 3,886 votes. Games seem to need 20,000-30,000 votes before they are considered for the GOG.com catalogue. I've already voted. Now it's up to you guys.

Here's a direct link to the voting page.

I still own the disc, but I voted anyway because it's a fantastic classic.

@LucidusAtra +1 to you and everybody voting on GOG.
BTW: the number of votes a game requires to be released on GOG is merely secondary. It mostly depends on what licenses GOG can accquire. If it' was just voting numbers, System Shock 2 would have been releases a week after GOG went live :)

If you have an Xbox or PlaySation I recommend you just buy it for that, as it comes with a port for the first game, for free.

I thought all copies of the Alice: Madness returns come with the ported original, accessible from inside the game.

I know the retail copies include the ported original, and its listed as a feature on the back. I doubt Steam would forget/neglect the feature of a full game included with this. I would be willing to pay an additional dollar OR two for access to the first one.

Well I didn't see anything that started the original game came with it.

I think you only got American McGee's Alice if you preorder Madness Returns.

You get the copy of American McGee's Alice in literally every release that isn't Steam's. This game was launched right around the time Origin started up and EA was trying to pull support from Steam. So they did the rational, human thing and gave people buying their game from the wrong store an inferior copy because screwing people over is the best way to win their business.
