Alice: Madness Returns

Alice: Madness Returns

For PC users, controller or keyboard/mouse?
Played this game a while ago and I felt that seems to be more designed for controllers than keyboard and mouse like the first one. When you are on combat or need to jump and glide to platforms.
I'm going to try to play it again with my favorit option of KB/mouse, but I want a "second" opinion. =)

It's nearly impossible to play this game with mouse and keyboard in my opinion. The only game with worse controlls is Dark Souls on PC.

I finished it with mouse/keyboard. Not impossible at all. But I have to agree that playing it with the controller was better.

IMHO, this is a great game to play with a controler!

I am still playing it, about to finish it up, I use the mouse and keyboard for everything except the games inside the game. (Doll heads rolling and the side view portions) for those I swap to my controller.Looking forward to playing on Nightmare next. :)

I went and bought an xbox controller (never had an xbox) specifically for my PC games that are xbox ports. much better with the controller, however i wish i could disable the rumble... i hate rumble. makes my carpal tunnel worse.

It is ok with a 360 controller ? I own one but I've hear it was messy and the game was rather meant for dualshock

I own an xbox controller and it played just fine. the difference is that with the controller you have a better control in the fights.

Yeah the fights were a pain with k/b.. well thank you then !

I am on the computer and I am doing just fine using the keyboard and the mouse. But if you are more comfortable with a controler then that is fine as well.

Tried this with both keyboard + mouse and 360 controller, and find the controller to be easier to handle as it puts all the controls in a more 'finger-friendly' position. Though that could have just been me, as pressing caps-lock to lock on to enemies seemed a bit odd.

No need to set up the keys for a 360 controller either, I literally just picked up the controller mid-game after having used the keyboard and mouse for the last 10 minutes and started using it without changing any options or anything, and it immediately started altering tutorial messages to give me the controller buttons instead of the keyboard.

Yeah, the caps-lock lock-on bugged me, too.

As someone who just played this game on the xbox 1 and is currently playing the game on PC, this game is more for the xbox than it is for the pc.
I've had no problems playing with KB + Mouse, but I haven't tried it with a controller, so I can't compare.

Lucky, plugging in a xbox 360 controller didn't work for me. I don't get Xbox display prompts. Only Keyboard + Mouse prompts.
