As for the original game, no it's unfortunately not included. I believe it was a pre-purchase exclusive.
Perhaps its some licensing problem, as I cant believe any software company would refuse to sell a finished product without a decent reason.
Whatever the reason, I for one am not buying the game on PC until it is available together with the frist game.
I suppose I may eventually have to consider getting it for console as I believe both the PS3 and Xbox 360 version included it. At least for a while.

Game is gorgeous and plays fantastic so far. Original Alice plays nicely so far as well, but I've not played it much as I own the original box and beat Alice several times.
- Go to My Documents\My Games\Alice Madness Returns\AliceGame\Config\
- Open AliceEngine.ini (after making a backup copy)
- under [AliceGame.AliceGameEngine], change GIsSpecialPCEdition=FALSE to TRUE will unlock all DLC dresses and weapons.
The only thing you dont get is Original Alice - you may see the in-game link to launch the game, but without the files it will not work. If original alice is what you're after then you'll need the Complete Collection which you can get from the amazon link mentioned above.
Why wouldn't it be? If EA wants it to be that way, then it will be.
The Xbox 360 version is the same as the Steam version but came with an unlock code to get the first game on Xbox 360.
Unforntately Alice must have come out in the middle of EA's launch of Origin. They are at the top in terms of publisher size (and not much else) and feel arrogant enough to only sell online through their client. It basically means you'll never see the first game released on Steam unless EA falls on very hard times.
