edit 2:
nah, stopped working again. wtf
I booted up the game, it got stuck on the screen and then I force shutdown it, cancelled it and reopened it for it to work!! Once I started playing, the controls... didn't even work!?!?! The scroll button was the exit menu and once you rebound all the computer keys to the default ones (I checked the 2nd time I had to reopen), you cannot open the pause menu, you can't save your progress - nothing. I immediately had to stop once Alice entered the wonderland because I had already loaded the game 3 TIMES and it was still bugging. I was so sad and so were my friends.
It's not the computers, it's the FREAKING game. There's NO WAY so many people are having this problem and it's THE GAZILLION COMPUTERS that's the problem.
today it crashed when i tried load my saved game :(
What is your system specs? Im on a intel i5 cpu, dell optiplex 3010 system and I get on average 30 fps. Depending on your cpu and ram. Your computer may not meet the minimum requirements to play this game.
what cpu/ gpu are you using? Do you have at least 4gb of ram free for this game? Assuming you want to play in uhd with mods. Im on a intel i5 with 16 gb of ram, on a dell optiplex getting around 30 fps in 720P.
Without knowing your system specs its hard for anyone to give you advice on what to do. Personally store the game on a ssd if you can and play it of that for faster load times.
What is your system specs? Im on a optiplex 3010 intel i5 with 16 gb of ram (Dual core)
Im running the game at 720p 30 fps eithout editing the config file. Since, integrated cpus wont run unreal engine 3 onwards that well. If your using only intel and not a dedicated gpu which will drasticlly help you run this game. If your only using a cpu that thats your main issue.
The game is working fairly well on my dell optiplex 3010 with only a intel i5 16 gb of ram running at 30 fps . I find it ironic people trying to run this game never specify what there hardware specs is. Because, if your trying to run AMR a unreal engine 3 game with only a cpu and not a gpu. Than of course this game is gonna have issues like not booting up on a start screen.
If your only using a intel chip instead of AMD , Nvidia, or a good brand gpu which is for graphics. And Cpus is for ai and character calculations for behaviors. If you only rely on a cpu expecially for uhd for games like Alice Madness return. Well that's just not really possible.
Without system specs. Its very unlikely anyone can be helped since, a ton of missing information like your computer is missing. So people can properly help you get this game running properly,
I think most people having issues running alice madness returns seem to be in integrated intel cpus instead of a actual dedicated gpu like Nvidia or Amd . I know that's kinda a Hugh jump. But, that does seem to be the case since, intell based cpus heavilly struggle with unreal engine 4 and unreal engine 3 which was used for alice madness returns might be to hard for some peoples computers assuming there on a computer and not a laptop.
I'm running on a dell optiplex 3010 , intel core i5, with 16 gb of ram. An I can get 30 fps on average playing at 720p. So, maybe it's because, I didn't edit the config files. But, this could be worth having a pole up,
