Easy is now really easy.
Normal is normal
There's now a tradeoff between Nightmare and Insanity, insanity is longer what I consider artificially inflated difficulty. See it as having a perk that gives you +25% damage, but take double damage in return.
Also added a slomo mechanics, because it's awesome and game is pretty...
Bindings=(Name="XboxTypeS_RightShoulder", Command="SwitchEmotion |slomo 0.5 | OnRelease slomo 1.0 |TriggerDodge true | OnRelease TriggerDodge false | DiscardWatch | CycleFloatInputRB")
Basically what the above does is slow you down while holding the dodge button. Makes platform and combat more interesting, and you regain back a bit of that percision jumping in the orginal Alice. The gamespeed goes back to normal when you release the button so if you want to tap it, hold it for 0.5 seconds or for the full dodge to gain a few miliseconds of reaction time, that's your choice.
Bindings=(Name="XboxTypeS_LeftThumbstick",Command="OnRelease ToggleCloseFollowCamera | TriggerHysteria |slomo 0.5 | OnRelease slomo 1.0")
The above is just for when I want to enjoy the moment, it's on the left thumb button.

Ok messed enough with the game, just gonna play now.
Normal and Hard has pretty good scaling and upgrading weapons does make a huge difference.
It should also be important to note that you can change the difficulty back anytime. Playing the game on Nightmare doesn't really make the game better, it makes it worst because of the checkpoints.
Game seems to be well balanced around hard.
This thread is more than a year old. Where the hell did you find it? It can't have been on the first page...
Stop that.
You can always do a new game plus on nightmare when you are better at combat and have all the weapons
