Well, I'm not sure if I'm allowed to discuss this on a steam forum- but do you know what key generators are? Essentially, it's a program ''pirates'' can use to generate random code lines which use the same algorythm as the activation codes for the game it was made for. Now, what I'm assuming is that one of them generated your code- rendering it useless to you.
And this is gonna sound rather controversial, but honestly the only ''fix'' I can think of is for you to get one of those generators and get a new one.
