game crash after first cutscene

i entered all the activation stuff and it will play the first cuscene but after that windows tells there is an error, what is going on?

YA iam having the same issue tried to read the support about dleting files and third party stuff makes no since to me at a lost as well ?

at first i started the game on max settings. then i put everything on low and it worked just fine, even after resetting everything back to max, so im still not sure what the issue was

That's the fun thing with computers. Sometimes it will crash but will work perfectly fine afterwards, leaving the IT support stumped at what happened. Think of it as spraining a muscle for moving the wrong way.

For me it was the physx option specifically. On medium and high it crashed constantly. On low it was ok. No idea why it might not do that for everyone but I had modified the files to unlock 60fps so maybe if I hadn't done that it would be Ok.

Same for me! I made the mistake of changing this value before starting the game for the first time, so I didn't immediately connect the crashing issue to this, as most of what I found online was about this was an old game and so it gave some people problems, but, as soon as I found this comment and tried putting physx back to low, the game ran as smooth as butter. So thank you so much, Toypop!

And I had not modified the FPS setting in the ini file before the crashing issues, so I can say that, at least in my case, it seemed to be specifically tied to the physx option and nothing else.

I got a consistent crash when a gate opens in Chapter 4: Queensland (Labyrinthine Revenge) after a fight. Turns out setting PhysX to Low in Options fixed this.
