Controller setup problems (did almost everything)
So, I'm trying to get my controller to work in-game (ps3 controller), and I seem to have hit a wall. This is my first time attempting to use a controller for steam games. Here are the steps I've completed. Fyi, I've used motion joy for emulators and stuff successfully in the past. Also, I've seen other posts where others have played this game with their controllers, so I know you can...

1. Set up motion joy properly, etc..
2. (new to me) Open steam, enter "Big Picture" mode.
3. Went to settings, mapped the buttons properly, saved/uploaded the profile.
4. Navigated the menus, with my controller, and selected Alice in the game list.
5. Game launches, controller does nothing.

I noticed that, in the library menu when Alice is highlighted, it says "requires keyboard and mouse". Fair enough I thought, for the menus, but once I load my profile and enter the game, the controller doesn't work... Did I miss something? I played 25% on another profile and kinda stopped cuz the keyboard/mouse greatly limits what you can accomplish in combat... I'm diggin the crap out of this game so far, and was not expecting the combat to be fun like this... Finishing this game with a controller would be great, instead of finishing it sort of frustrated with a keyboard/mouse setup.

Please help me :D

maybe get your self an xbox controller for pc or you get the same as i have, which is a logitech f710. its wireless and has the shape and button layout as that of a PS.
i personally play wiht M&K and it works perfectly fine but of course if you prefere a controller, then get the logitech one. its cheap too and works really well. at least for the few games i use it for.

how about try using x360ce to recognize the controller?

Yeah, got it to work. You can use a ps3 controller, you just have to select 360 controller mode in the DS3 tool. Thanks guys!
