No, it does not. The Steam version is incomplete, without American McGee's Alice and the DLC dresses and weapons. This guide can remedy that, however.

The DLC content is are still left over in the Steam version but they require some INI tweaks to get them activated. Sadly the Steam version does have a problem where the DLC weapons don't stay active during when equipped through the special "Equip" menu in the main menu after the EA-related DRM was patched out back in 2022, so you'll need to use this workaround to get them equipped.

To enable the DLC contents:

1. Open DefaultEngine.ini (<path-to-your-steam-library>\steamapps\common\Alice Madness Returns\AliceGame\Config) or AliceEngine.ini (C:\Users\<username>\My Documents\My Games\Alice Madness Returns\AliceGame\Config) with a text editor like Notepad or Notepad++.
   
   
2. Search for this section in the configuration file: [AliceGame.AliceGameEngine].
   
   
3. Change value of the variable GIsSpecialPCEdition= from "FALSE" to "TRUE".
   
   
4. Save the changes to the file.
   
   
5. Run the game and you should now see a new "Equip" button in the main menu for the DLC dresses and weapons.

To fix the DLC weapons in the Steam version (post-January 2022 update):

1. Open DefaultInput.ini (<path-to-your-steam-library>\steamapps\common\Alice Madness Returns\AliceGame\Config) or AliceInput.ini (C:\Users\<username>\My Documents\My Games\Alice Madness Returns\AliceGame\Config) with a text editor like Notepad or Notepad++.
   
   
2. Search for this section in the configuration file: [AliceGame.AliceGameEngine].
   
   
3. Add the following lines underneath the line containing the variable bEnableMouseSmoothing=:
   

   +Bindings=(Name="o",Command="EnableAllDLCWeapons")
   +Bindings=(Name="p",Command="DisableAllDLCWeapons")

   
   
4. Save the changes to the file.
   
   
5. Run the game and get into gameplay, then press either the O key to enable the DLC weapons or P to disable them.

There was a better alternative to get this working as originally intended via the Equip menu, but it's all Greek to me...

I've changed the value to true but, when I try to play the original, it just crashes. Any ideas how to fix this? It doesn't do it for Madness Returns, just the original when I try to click it on the menu. I also don't have an equip button.

PCGamingWiki recommends this patch for the 2011 remaster that was included with Madness Returns. I tried it and it solved the crashing issue.
