Glitch? Bug? Help!

I just got onto the Queensland chapter of Alice: Madness Returns. I just escaped the run from the Executioner down the corridor and when I went through the keyhole at the end of the corridor and then into the room where I use my Hobby Horse to smash through the rubbish clogging up the doorways. When I reach outside, there's a lever. Of course I go an pull it. Nothing happens. I've seen video's and it is supposed to lower the air boosting vases or whatever they are that boost you higher into the air.

I tried re-loading the game, uninstalling and re-installing. Nothing seems to work? Any ideas? If you want a reference to which part of the game, watch from 3:00 - 3:47 on this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sa6D-4OmVpM

God bless your soul. It worked. I already tried to jump of the ledge hoping it would help. But i just felt out of bounce and then after I died, I was back where the executioner is hunting you. Now I can play the rest of the game, thanks a lot!
