How to use umbrella

I don´t know how to use the umbrella (doesn´t work on keyboard, doesn´t show anything for gamepad). Can someone help me??

You have to be locked-on to an enemy first, then press the block button (should be E on keyboard by default)
If it still doesn't work then you're victim of the umbrella bug, here's a workaround

by default its A on an xbox controller, but ONLY when Locked on.
