cant change resolution

as soon as i enter any resolution past 720p (the default) the game crashes. any idea how to fix? my monitor is capable of 4k

You might be able to force it from the games’ configuration file. This going off memory, but, go to Documents\My Games\Alice Madness Returns\AliceGame\Config. Then open the AliceEngine.ini inside Notepad, and find the lines ResX and ResY, and change them to your resolution, so for 4k, i think it’s in this order.
ResX=3840
ResY=2160

i tried that and it didnt work. i just fixed it and it was all over the physx being on medium instead of on low

Is your card and Nvidia card . I read somewhere and heard that Nvidia wouldnt allow it on other cards . I used to have two nvidia cards . One for graphics and a dedicated physx card . Also sadly , older games are only supported up to 1080p , so setting up to higher resolutions may make it work harder . perhaps ?

i have a curved screen high res this works but instead of putting in and changing your res x and y u have to put full screen to false that’s the only way it will fit for me i tried doing x and y but no luck only got it to work by doing false for full screen and im just guna deal with the borders

there's multiple lines that you have to edit in the engine files and resolution alone needs to edited like 3 times. there's a guide here on steam that tells you which needs to be edited to make things work. i followed that exactly and have played 11 hours so far and no issues so far aside from frame drops in a few cutscenes. i change the resolution to 4k and fps to 120 to match my lg c2 tv.
