Stuck on First Loading Screen

I can get into the game fine, set everything up, but then when I launch a new game, it's just stuck on the very first loading screen (before the first cut scene even). This is not a hardware-related problem; my loading times are generally very short. The longest I've tried waiting it out has been about 5 minutes. I also can no longer tab out of the game; it seems to freeze without actually freezing (the key keeps swinging smoothly).

Haven't been able to find anything about this problem online... has anyone had the same issue? I've updated my drivers again like I've seen recommended and am currently reinstalling the game.

Guys how long it takes to upload? I trapped at the key swinging screen. So i can't change resolution and the other settings. Help

I have spent over an hour now trying to fix this problem after reading everyone’s comments. I do not know what else to do haven’t modded yet and I can’t get game to do anything help🙄

I thought I fixed it but I didn't. I'm still having this issue to this day. I just gave up. Sucks because I really wanna play this game again. Best of luck.

i ran into the same problem a few minutes ago but i don't know how to close the game because nothing seems to work, how did you do it?

In Steam, before launching any game you can change the resolution settings. Also in the game folder you can play with settings in the notepad like turn off the first intro video etc. Try that maybe
