Docking Ark

Is there a special dock that you can unlock later? I already had issue expanding all my docks with the spanish boat, but now I just unlocked the ark I kinda don't wanna use it given how annoying it seems to dock

There is an upgraded dock but it doesn't make it any easier to park that beast.

It's the depth of the water the dock is in , that makes a difference. The water in the bay where you first build is not deep enough . I rebuilt at the entrance of that bay ., where the water is deeper , and the Ark docks fine .

There are two foundation pieces, if you check them both out you will see the description of one says for use in deeper water

Which foundation pierce can be built in deeper water? Neither foundation pierce descriptions says anything about the depth of the water they are able to be placed in.

There is no depth difference between the two . The only difference is the aesthetic look .
