Just load your save and you get free mode all you want. I find it not as fun when you have everything in the end game. I love wotking hard to advance in the earlier stages. It gives pay off and satisfaction.
I didn't want to keep on playing after the final boss because there is no goal.
I rather started a new game. There is more fun doing it all new way. Very much enjoy streams of other people playing it differently.
And after all, I think I will have like 100 hours in the game which is outstanding for the money !!!
Sailing home but never reaching home because your ship sank again and then you remember nothing of what has happend or what you have found..................
That should be a fitting end
Hey!
As stated above, you can press 'Continue' to continue playing in free mode after finishing the story. That's good feedback though, we'll think of making this option more evident.
I always thought the "continue" button just loaded the most recent save. I would never have guessed that this would switch the game to free mode after finishing the game.
Thanks for the tip.
Also thank you for your decision to make the transition to this mode more evident.
I think it would be ideal to make this “continue in free mode” button in the window where the progress statistics are displayed. But the decision is yours.
That's what the 'Continue' button does — loads the most recent save. After the game is finished, you can continue with your save. No mechanics are changed and there is no particular 'free mode', I only meant you can keep playing without following the story. Sorry if my phrasing caused some misunderstanding. =)
I understand.
It was simply not obvious that an autosave was being made during the end credits, which would thereby create the very last save.
I thought that pressing the "continue" button would load the last save made, in this case made manually immediately after killing the final boss.
