That's not so easy to do, I keep repeating the mission because I can only get one or two blown out before I run out of cannon balls, I've tried moving the ship at different angles, and also the angles and height of the cannon, but with the ship bouncing up and down it makes it hard to zero in, I even got knocked off the ship twice from the bouncing, I also tried sleeping for a couple days to see if the storm would calm down and that didn't help either. Ugh.
Worse case, ammunition are dirt cheap.
You can also sit near the canon, so I don't really understand how bouncing around is an issue since it won't happen when you aim.
Just try to always fire when it's about the same wave height/angle, for example when it's high. This way you can correct after missing, and mostly negate the wave issue.
Then some of the target are about the same height, so you only need to move left/right after hitting one of them (height being the hardest part when aiming, it help).
And after all of that, you could just go to the crocodile island and use the other ship. Once you have it you just need to go here and the gate automatically open, so no aiming required.
Thanks, that worked, I made it to the island.
So the Stormbreaker is supposed to automatically remove the rocks that you have to break with the cannon if you're in the Ark? I did the same as the OP and ended up in the dead-end passages. Once I read this, I tried going back to the rocks and sailing right up to them, but all that happened was the Stormbreaker flipped upside-down and I had to sail away to get it righted. Frustrating.
I guess I'll have to come back with the Ark.
The "right" side require ark + canon multiple time
The "left" side require stormbreaker + just sailing in rough water in a narrow passage (maybe don't go here with just 10% durability left)
