Poison frog quest broken

Ive gotten to the point where the quest says "wait until dark" and I have, ive even killed the frogs, and tried to offer them to the tribesman, but nothing happens. What do I do??

You have to wait until dark, and then only kill the frog.

Also, if you visit Sulfur Island and kill and pick up poison frogs before visiting the shaman on Crocodile island he does NOT recognize that you already have poison frogs in your inventory.

I had to go back to Sulfur island, wait until dark then wander around in the swamp until the game realized I already had frogs in my inventory and allowed me to advance the quest.

From the first moment visiting him i assumed it's not only tobacco growing in his small mountain cove. He acts like eight miles high.

i did, its been days and the game still wont recognise that its after dark

unfortunately it still hasnt updated the quest for me

I think this quest needs work. It worked the first time for me, but not the second.

I tried this quest again after the patch. I go to Sulfur Island, find the Spanish camp in the middle of the swamp. I clear the area, its still not dark. I sleep in the bed in one of the houses for 2 hours until its dark. Quest still says "Wait until dark". I wait for a whole night. No dice, still says "Wait until dark".

Were you at the point "wait until dark" and the patch solved your problem? I'm wondering if I need to reload to a point before I got the quest.

yeah i was. Idk if you have tried collecting some frogs already, and then waiting until night?

I tried that before patch. I'll try it again now.

EDIT: Update

I logged back in at night & the game recognized it was night & advanced the quest to "hunt frog"
