Dying from getting hit with a meteor caused tragedy masks to appear on the corpses

Yesterday I was playing in a modded lobby with four of my friends and we got the rare meteor shower event while we were on Assurance. We died one by one to the meteors except for one person who refused to leave the ship, and, bizarrely, all of the corpses that the surviving people managed to haul back to the ship had tragedy masks with red eyes, as if they'd put on a mask while on the Company moon and died from it without spawning a Masked.

I was the first to die because a meteor hit me while I was trying to take a screenshot of the other meteors, but I heard one of my friends say they hoped the bodies didn't get back up, so I don't think it was solely a visual glitch for spectator view. The mod we use to include the cause of death in the performance report, Coroner, showed ours as "Crushed to death" rather than anything to do with masks though.
