Game keep crashing after few minutes
Before, a little context: I purchased the game about a month ago (on December 11, 2023). I played with friends on a modded version, and it worked perfectly with no issues at all.

Today, I wanted to play the vanilla version with a friend who is new, so I decided to delete the 'Lethal Company' folder in the 'common' directory (I made a copy in case). To be sure, I also went to the game page on Steam and uninstalled it. Then I reinstalled the game, and it started normally. However, after about 5 minutes of playing, my computer crashed (freeze + loud last sound repeating itself; link on the config section). Initially, I thought it was just my PC acting up, so I forcibly shut down my computer and restarted the game. Unfortunately, the same issue occurred repeatedly.

I then took some steps to address the problem. I updated all my drivers, made sure my Windows was up to date, and checked the integrity of the game files. Despite these efforts, the game continued to crash after a few minutes of playing.

To be thorough, I uninstalled Steam completely, reinstalled it, and subsequently reinstalled the game. However, there was no improvement; the game still crashed after a few minutes.

In my quest for solutions, I:

  • Deleted any files that could be related to mods
  • Applied an FPS cap (which somewhat worked; the game still crashed, but it lasted a bit longer, about 10 minutes)

Reinstalling Windows isn't something I'm currently considering. Here is a list of any helpful information:
