Controller issue since new update

My PS4 controller completely stopped working since the new update. I was able to play with it just fine beforehand, but now the game won't sense the controller. I've tested opening other steam games to see if it's an issue on my end, but my controller works fine (Cult of the Lamb, Monster Hunter Rise, etc). It's only with Lethal Company that it fails to work.

More info: The controller doesn't work on bluetooth connection or direct cable to my PC. Beforehand when it was working, it was wireless (bluetooth connection). The controller currently works well with any other game wirelessly.

I'm using the 8bitdo Ultimate Bluetooth Controller and it has TONS of issues too, as well as an old xbox 360 controller that works fine on any other game with controller support that I play that does not work at all on LC. Its frustrating since I'm trying to play this on the Steam Deck, but controller support is garbage.
