Stuttering bug related to audio device/monitor?

This is a really odd interaction this game is having with my system.

Most of the time when I play this game it runs at an excellent clip. However lately, it rhythmically stutters and will hang up for maybe half a second at a time, every 3-5 seconds. I've noticed whenever it stutters that my monitor becomes available as an audio output device in Windows 11. So I started looking at the device manager and it too is pretty quickly connecting and disconnecting something. I've tried other games, halo infinite, baldur's gate, forza, and was unable to reproduce this stuttering effect in those games. However, the device was still connecting and disconnecting in the background. This was never accompanied by a system sound mind you, you would never know this was happening unless you looked in the device manager or in the sound settings where you pick your output device.

I tried disabling hdmi audio out from the nvidia control panel, which worked for a few hours???

Also this issue isn't present if the monitor isn't plugged in. I'm running the LG Ultragear 27 inch oled monitor with 240 hz in case anyone with the same problem is also running the same monitor.
