An error occured - Issue when joining online lobbies

Hello, I have an issue where every time I am joining an online lobby I receive "an error occured". Please Note, I have attempted the following: Running as administrator, updating windows, restarting, allowed though firewall, reinstalled, verified game files, and have tried both close and far lobbies. Here is the portion of the Player.log file related to it failing to launch, doesn't really help me much. Verified within event viewer my client is not having any errors. TLS 1.0-1.3 are enabled and auto configure is set for proxy. Additionally, all lobby's show as false for valid.

I'm also having this problem and idk what to do at this point. I've tried deleting and reinstalling the game, I've verified my game files on steam multiple times (it says everything is fine), updated my system, checked to see if the game itself is updated (it is), etc, etc. The thing is I can play by myself, but I can't join any lobbies, that counts for random ones that you can pick from in the main menu, and lobbies that I get invited to from my friends, whenever I try to do so it loads for about 6/7 seconds and the I get "an error has occurred." Been trying to play for like 3 days now but no luck.

running it in administrator mode vanilla then going back to Modded helped, but it's still wildly unlikely I get into a match.

And, no; this isn't just mod incompatibility, this happens with Vanilla as well, still. At least for me.

I've had that exact problem for a bit. I installed this game and played it for a bit only to find out the next day I log on, this bug appears. I hope it gets fixed soon.

I am just trying to join public parties cause I don't have too long to play rn and all I get is an error screen as well

Statistically it's more likely you're just having the normal issue of joining servers that are modded that don't make it known- that little [modded] prefix is a manual thing.

To confirm this issue, get modded Lethal Company with just LC API and Bepinex installed on the Thunderstore, which can be found on Overwolf, then check the console that handles mods and records other info for a 'menu error' by clicking 'modded'. If you have the menu error, in the console after attempting to join and failing, then you have the same issue as us.

seems to still be like that. i see people are joining other lobbies but i've tried joining at least 100 games at this point w no luck

i made a post here and on reddit about a fix i found. not gonna retype it all or spam it anymore. just look up posts about crashes and find mine. or look at my post history.
