Voice Echo In Game

Hiiii wondering if anyone could help me out with this: my mic makes audio echo in-game. My voice itself doesn't echo, but anyone else that speaks can hear themselves echo through my mic. Not sure why this is, as when I call on Discord and everything it doesn't have this same issue. I have a Player: One Prime NZXT gaming PC and I just use wired earbuds connected to it, and the earbuds have a mic. I tried using bluetooth headphones but those didn't seem to work. This might be a simple fix and something to do with my settings/setup rather than the actual game, but I still would appreciate some help for it as I'm new to PCs and PC gaming in general ^^; thanks!

my boyfriend is having this issue with our friend group and its only him that has this issue, still in the works on trying to fi- just realized this post was published last year
