Ship Decor After Missed Quota
My biggest request for the game is for ship decor to stay after missing quota. I do get why it is the way it is. It’s a punishing game. It’s ruthless. It’s unforgiving. Not to mention that it all literally gets sucked into the vacuum of space. In a lot of ways, it’s like a roguelike. The easiest solution would just be to get better so losing furniture wouldn’t happen. However, I do think it would be beneficial for the game and its players if there was at least a setting/mode where furniture, outfits, and potentially ship upgrades stay after a failed quota. There are all types of different players, and not all of them are good. And that’s okay. It’s a fun game no matter what at the end of the day. Sometimes you play casually, and sometimes you play like professionals. No matter whether you live or die, meet quota or fail, you and your team end back up on the ship. You laugh there. You cry there. You get mad at your teammate for going for the hive there. Being on your ship and each feeling associated with it is as important to the experience as going onto the moons. So maybe that is exactly why people might disagree with me. Having to reset after a failed quota and getting new suits and a plushie instead of a teleporter is important to the experience too, because now there are new feelings and memories to go with your new ship. Me and my group just get attached to our tables and our record player. We’re fine with losing every flashlight, walkie, and shovel, but losing our beloved goldfish just hits so hard. That’s probably the point, but for casual groups who struggle to meet quota consistently, I do think it’d be nice to have the option in the game. What do others think?

I dont think it should be in the main game personally, I enjoy the risk of losing everything, but when I was looking at the mod website I am sure I saw one that added this, so you could download that to achieve the desired outcome.
But as a toggle when you start a new save I dont see a problem with, aslong as its optional.

Yeah, a toggle would be perfect. Slightly going off topic, but customizing preferences per save file also brings up the potential for other modifiers for extra wackiness. Enemy spawn rates, gravity, building size/layout, etc.
