However, I agree that it needs some ways to counter it.
IE: Jumps-gaps; Closing AND Locking doors; Industrial Super-Glue...
Hell, I'd even go so far as being able to turn on and drop your flashlight shining down a hallway to block certain monster like the Bracken; or even use it to lure other (visually-guided) monsters.
Tree Giants can't see you very well when crouched.
Nutcrackers can't see you when unmoving, crouched and they're specifically in scanning mode.
Learn the entities.
Yeah if only it couldn't OPEN normal doors....monsters opening doors is absurd, especially Coil Head (NO HANDS), thumpers (NO HANDS), Bunker Spiders (....NO EFFING HANDS).
I don't remember if the Lizard, Hygrodere and Snare Flea can open doors too or not, but legit only a Bracken, Jester, masked, and MAYBE Nutcracker should be physically (and/or mentally) capable of opening doors.... i'm on the fence about the Hoarding bugs.
and don't even get me started on them crossing jump gaps... coil heads literally float. It should be a legit tactic to lure them to the gap, and glance them over a gap so they drop down. I'll die on that hill, fight me.
