What's with all creepy/weird lobby names?

It's really difficult to find normal lobby.

They want casual players, so they use weird names that act as social lubricant. Similar things happen all the time on the internet.
18+ lobbies want adults because kids tend to be annoying to play with.
Host your own game if you want a lobby that's normal by your own standards.

Like Porsche said. If you're going to be in a lobby for hours, you want those 3 people to be subjectively cool people. What better way to organize who enters your server than to pander with ideological server names?

Likewise, if you want to maximize your time well spent then you want to be profiling server names that match your interests... or maybe the opposite whatever floats your boat.

I like the chaos, lots of interesting folks to meet, but I highly recommend utilizing the "search for crew" page on the general discussions page if you find searching for a reliable crew to be frustrating.

I just find it difficult to find lobby, that won't be something creepy like "looking for girls 18+". I don't mind chaos, but it's exclusively in weird/creepy direction in this game, genuinely funny lobby names are rare.

It lets you customise the terms so you can selectively choose what lobbies you want to filter out and have it hidden from you. And there is also this mod which is useful as well: https://thunderstore.io/c/lethal-company/p/Ryokune/Better_Lobbies/

It makes it easier to navigate lobbies and find ones you'll actually join.

honestly the game has werid lobby names but i find the game to be more 13 plus so if they dont want people younger than 18 plus just put 18 plus
